Look at me...posting twice in one week! Yay...I'm back! :)
Saturday, Travis and I drove up to Waco with a few of the women from our church here in Kingwood, for the first staff meeting for New Beginnings Camp this year. It went very well! We had a good turn out and we are all getting so excited about camp.
Saturday was also the anniversary of Grandpa Emmitt's passing. I miss him so much! This whole year has been full of, "I wish Grandpa was here to see this," and "Jayden, your great grandpa Emmitt use to...". I try to talk to her about Emmitt as much as possible...so that maybe she will know how special he was. And, I know it is silly, but I'm afraid of forgetting. Grandma Mary is doing great! I am so proud of her and how strong she has been. I have really loved getting to see her so much in the past year. She often comes down to stay with Winkle Danny and Aunt Norma. Jayden LOVES to spend time with her...especially when Grandma starts squealing like Jayden! :)
I still have three grandparents who are going strong and who get to know Jayden. I am so blessed to have known all of my grandparents for so long!
Yesterday, we started to install windows in our sun room. Before, we had just an extra room with screens. It was nice, but 1) the dogs kept jumping through the screens and 2) the rain would get into the sun room (which has tiles floors) and take forever to dry! So...we are going to close up the room with windows and turn that room into Jayden's play room. We can open up the windows on really nice days and play or we can close up the windows when it rains and still play! :)
Now...we are doing this ourselves...so we went to Home Depot and bought ONE window and all the supplies to install it. We were going to try this one window and see how long it will take us and even if it was possible to do alone. IT IS! We got the window installed and it looks great. However, I do have to tell a story on myself.
Whoever thought it was a good idea to insert little plastic black things in the windows to keep them from sliding open during shipping....is retarded! Travis and I were trying to get the pieces out of the window so we could put the window in the frame and...as Travis was getting something from the garage...I kept trying. I BROKE THE WINDOW!!!!!!!! Argh!!! That is okay though...Home Depot graciously took it back and gave us another one. No...I didn't break the second one!
As we were working Jayden had a fun time with Nikki and her toys...
Hey Sis...how about some kisses!?
Oh Mom...this is soooo exciting!
Hehe...that tickles!
She always makes me laugh! :)
